awesome thankyou, just ordered the ratchet spanners and one of their professional socket sets too.

Just picked mine up. Magic.

Good bit of marketing by Halfords since I spent another £80 in store on other stuff even though the spannies were only £21.25 !

ok, been down to halfords to pick up my reserve and collect, its the last set of the imperial ratchet spanners and; there's one missing, 7/16 spanner has been robbed. Now he says i can have the set for 15 quid without the missing one, what should i do? is it still a good buy or is it pointless without the 7/16 as it is used quite a bit.

£15 sounds good, it's mostly 1/2 and 9/16 that's on the mini.

The individual spanners are also sold on there own.

Get one, bite ur lip and buy the over priced bugger to complete you're set, you'll use it.

thats the thing, i asked them about individual spanners and they said they are not available anymore in AF. So i asked them about the lifetime guarantee if i manage to break one and thy ain't too sure what will happen, be aware though, the ratchet is not covered by warranty, if your going to break one, break it at the open end.

Still, i think i'll go get the set for 15 notes.

halfords rant time! i reserved my set in the only one in bristol that had them, popped down there on friday which took ages to cross town traffic and then after waiting ages they said they didnt have any, they aldo said that they arent stocking them anymore! and the cheek is i still got 2 text messages and an email after to say my order was ready for collection!!! bastards, gonna have to phone up customer services tomorrow and see if they will post me a set! Richard did you get yours in bath??

Nothing is impossible it just costs more and takes longer.

I doubt customer services will send any - they are end of line hence why they're so cheap. As with all computer stock systems, there are obviously errors where the 'system' thinks a branch should have some sets but in reality they haven't (or can't find them).
My local branch rang me to say they couldn't find the one set they were supposed to have and because they are end of line couldn't order me any in. However as the lass lived over 60 miles away and her local branch showed some in stock she was going to pop in and bring me a set personally!
Now that's not you're average Halfords customer service!

just phoned up halfords central and they said they were discontinued and dont have any in stock :(, if anyone has any spare sets in there local branch can they get me a set and i will pay you the postage on top?? Cheers

right, just picked up one set - worked out at £25 - still not bad. I've got another 3 sets reserved at another store - one set is already gone but anyone else looking for a set let me know. will be cost plus postage

what 40? i see the non flexible ones were reduced when i went in but the flexible ones were 80

they were both the same price in the clydebank store; I was going to buy the 33 piece set when I eventually got the imperial ones from them but they had gone up to £80 again.

The flexible head ones are a bit too flexible for my liking - it is very difficult to keep them at the angle you want them.
