A friend of mine had head gasket issues and in the end it turned out to be a cracked block.

isn't the key to running a higher CR to ensure the intake temp is kept low? Reading posts on here anywhere. I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

well I think I have now sussed it. While fannying around with everything I had knocked of the signal to the MS, so this has solved the immediate det on high boost now that its not running a fixed 35 deg (durrr).
