Well surprise surprise, nothing in the mail today - typical royal fail. So I'm off to tesco to get it now and I'll return the play.com one under their 7 day return policy.

Yeah, was. All the special bits are gone though I think, except the strut brace.

Gotta say, after the 4 and a half year delay/wait since ps3 came out, GT5 just isn't good enough.

Sure, it plays well, but then all GT games have but there just seems to be too many things wrong/lacking. Loading times are terrible, even with the game fully installed, plus it's crashed on loading/saving screens at least 5 times already. I've not seen one bit of the stated realistic damage yet, and very few cars seems to have the full interior graphics that were demo'd early on. Also, given the power of the PS3, there is absolutely no excuse for the constant video tearing that occurs during play.

The game seems to be a lot smaller than I anticipated also, I've done 10% of it already today upto now - I hope to hell that the stupid b-spec part doesn't make up 50% of it else I'll be mega pissed!!

you have got a poiny although its fun etc... it is pretty poor for the long wait. not as many tuning options either. still like it but i do agree with you.

Come on, priorities guys...

I got mine today, i have to say i really like it. But as coupe said you don't get the interior view with half the cars and also all the cars i've driven so far sound crap. I don't know if its just me but i think the sound of the car is half of it, forza 3 did a good job of it and how long did it take them to make it? not 5 years. also you can't change any of the visual parts on any standard cars except the body colour which is a bit shit. sorry for the rant i still like it.

The sounds are way better than forza once you stop driving hair-dryers around. Also you can change the body parts :)

really, it wouldn't let me change the wheels or bonnet or a few other things. i need to get playing so i can get a decent car, all the ones i've got do sound like hair dryers. can you recomend a good car? :)

I was considering getting this but a few people have said it's abit disappointing after the wait and anticipation. I used to love the GT series but GT5 has taken so long that I'm not so into it anymore. I might borrow a copy and see what I think.

i have enjoyed playing it this evening, havent raced once,
trying to win cars by getting all golds in the licences first, struggled so much to get gold on the salom with the bini cooper s

cant find 97 mini anywhere though which is a little dissapointing

but well worth £35 i think and im sure they are going to bring out more cars you download eventually,
i was probably dreaming and im talking out my arse but im sure i read i few years back there will be just over a 1000 cars on the game and the possibility to download over 10,000 someone correct me if im wrong but itll make it good

Bastards, my wife has just confirmed that my Christrmas surprise will not be a PS3 and GT5. And this was not a double bluff.

So it's a cooper mpi in it. :( shame a carbd one is much more tuneable, at least on the old one it is. Gto twin turbo is good for the money mine got to around 650 hp, is heavy so hasnt for amazing but its very stable and good at most tracks. and got me a win in the supercar cup thing. Gave car on it has to be the ek9 civic.

Oh and would recoment the gt wheel it's brilliant. Even with my ironing board in front of bed setup haha. Need to go scrapper and get a second hand half decent sporty seat n go from there.

i went out and bought a ps3 for this. loads time have been better there was a message saying it will get better and it has. has to be loaded to hard drive though. to get the 98 mini you have to do the bini challenge. :) i guesses this from previous games and i got it.
