Isn't his car suck through charged? I would be taking the MAP from the manifold.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

It isnt yet, still running twin hs2's. And the MAP sensor is on the rear carb.

i would have thought the vacum bit on the inlet would be sufficent for the map,

some vacuum take offs are blocked by the throttle disc when throttle closed. this will give false readings as the MJ will think you are at full throttle ( -> no vacuum).
you need a point that will give the full reading. best to use the manifold to have a MAP take off point

and if its Na I would run it though a small box like a fuel filter before the MJ. As per the MJ site.

I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

well i put the car what i think is top dead centre.

the sensor is pointing between tooth 8 & 9.

that would be my problem?

now the timing bracket on the cover, has any one got a photo with where it sits in relation to the missing tooth with bens kit?

so i can get a better idea if i'm right top dead centre.

im sure i am though, i don't have a timing light so i used a screw driver & turned it over till the piston is at the top.

leeds/wakefield.

irrespective of where you have the missing tooth, the sensor needs to be 90degs around to the left of it as you look at it when the piston is at tdc

right i got it working! thank god. faulty edis & sensor did not seem to be sitting right.

I got my mega jolt working but I suspect something is not right or one wire is switched??

one thing is odd and im not sure what is going on, it is showing load & revs from the bottom instead of the top. That highlighted block thatDescending through the advance range?

so instead of descending as normal it's Ascending! the Mj unit is from the website assembled.

be it i start on the dizzy or mega jolt it does the same thing.

maybe the wires are reversed? on the sensor? i'm not sure as this is a wire harness kit i purchased pre made.

when i commit a map nothing seems to really change either.

and it's idling ok around 550 to 600 feels to low on the dizzy it is idling around 800 i just monitored it with the dizzy via the software to see what i going on.

but at least it's working now im happy i got it to work one step closer!

so what do you think ?? im very lost but it all starts on the mega jolt thats for sure.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lBc364XxoLM

Im getting pretty frustrated with it. It's now back to running like it is on 3 cylinders again~! Last time I replaced the Edis that was faulty & the coil pack blew surely I could not have 2 faulty EDis units?

You can hear it run like a lawnmower in the video.

Anyways there is the video. I bought the wire harness pre made.

If you have more problems with your EDIS/Coil Pack/CPS

You can get new ones from here:

http://trigger-wheels.com/store/contents/en-uk/d6.html

They also do tested used units

The green box in the table at the top shows what ignition advance value it's currently using.

What map have you got on there? The graph just shows you what's set and the green box shows what it's doing.

If your map/graph is miles out then it will show that by doing unexpected things.

thanks apbellamy it's Map.

it runs fine in limp mode also. .

i have it connected to the twin su vacum take off, when i start the engine & it is just on idle it is showing load of 100

so when i rev it or drive the car the revs move up **green little Box** & the load is less.

why is it showing that? could it be the way i have the vacume advance just plugged into the side of the twin su's vacuum port?

as i said it runs fine with mega jolt or in limp mode smooth and it's MAP

By map, I mean the values in the table that control when it sparks. Have you changed them at all?

i have worked out the problem i think.

im not taking the vacuum advance from the right place.

i will T it from the booster & see if this will fix the problem.

can you suck or blow in the tune to test it's working properly?

Yes, this is what I did to test mine before installation.
