Do we think the pump could have too much pressure for the reg to cope with?? rick I had this once. I used a pump from a Jag & it killed my reg. |

Numbers on the pump are. part no 4500270 gsl 391 Im going to do som digging myself when i get back in. Do we think the pump could have too much pressure for the reg to cope with?? rick If fuel pressure at the pump is 5 bar, then there is a massive blockage somewhere. The pump is effectively trying to pump against a dead end The pump IS NOT the problem. Unless there is a restriction or blockage, the pump will not generate any pressure. And clearly you have a massive blockage. Although why are you using a gauge with such a scale for checking fuel pressure which will only be circa 0.3 bar ? 9.85 @ 145mph

Yes i understand what your saying, the reading was taken just before where the pipe goes into the reg. So i must have a blockage somewhere in the line??

Make it easy for yourself and take it one step at a time, although this really shouldnt be difficult.
9.85 @ 145mph
