However, there is a big price difference between a line bore and a line hone which suffices if using the original caps. On 13th Jul, 2012 Ben H said:
Mine gets in the way a bit, but only when it is up. If it is down it does not cause a problem. |

Eric, having seen the outside of your engine a few times the inside is even better !! Does the Fortech strap have a few thou of interference in it to make it bend down at the ends, or is it a flush fit ? I was actually quite surprised that it snapped on almost like a lego block. Also, my block was line honed with this in place when the machine work was done. Eric

my block was line bored just to be sure. i cant say whether they are beneficial or not as im no engine builder or genius but my thinking is it cant hurt to have one, especially as im hoping for revs. On 17th Feb, 2011 apbellamy said:

What can we expect to pay for a steel 4 bolt main? MED are asking 200 notes, where did those of you that have one get yours from? Also how much did you pay if you don't mind me asking? Edited by george91 on 28th Jan, 2011. |

MED ask 200 with installation and a line bore I believe. If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of. |
