With a 7 or 8 port, a good ECU and a wideband will do most of the fueling adjustments for you as long as you get it in the right ball park to start with. Just a bit more work to do if you want to optimise port injection on a 5 port.

However, IACV control, WUE, ASE, AE etc all take some time to perfect.

I've only had to adjust the ignition timing on a rolling road.

Whats all this about carbs being easier to set up? What is easier than plugging in a laptop and changing a number? No jets, no grinding needles, no waiting for parts...

Carbs are an obsolete pain in the ass and are the first thing in the bin on any build I do.

I take the point that some rules require them though, and that is the only reason to use them as far as I'm concerned.

More people can use a computer than can tune a carb.

It's not even really using a computer in any complex sense. It's using a program with dials and gauges with all the familiar stuff any carb tuner would understand, rpm, mixture etc. It's quite intuitive. I've seen complete computer newbies get to grips with it in a few minutes. None I know of has ever reverted once they have a go. It really is very easy.

The set up is great is you gave a starting point but can take a while to set up if not the same as carbs.
Carb wise I was asumming they are already jetted correctly for your engine
This would be a comparison to injectors you still have to get the correct ones do you not or we banging anything on these days?
