Ahhh now i remember.. that was also a gunson gauge we used at mine. Oh well more is better but i'm shocked how much more you have now. Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the the universe. |

oil down bores method, taught to me early 1970s has been used for years equal amout of oil each bore. i allwas have pistons same hieght in the bore. if oil disapears problem. as alex says oil runs round down, so what would happen to gases under compresion at 10psi boost runs round and down into crankcase. some times the old ways are still the ~BEST |

I cleaned up my pistons yesterday, used MR Muscle oven cleaner, That stuff is brilliant - sprayed it on left if for half hour, then used a nylon scrubbing pad and my pistons look like new - so does my head chamber.

Hence why I can get power from a worn bore on my engine... if I was running it NA I'd loose loads of power. Peak cylinder pressure reaches somthing like 100 bar (the actual figure depends on ign timing, fueling, desgin etc). If you follow the oil leak logic your are instantly going to have HUGE blow by and no power!! Alex AlexF |
