depends on wot postion your filter is sat in some times you end up with a little air pocket in the filter but all you have to do is turn it so the outlet points upwards and it will clear itself. But you should be looking tosee there are bubbles coming thro from the inlet pipe from the pump into the filter |

i checked the fuel pressure and it was on 3.5, although the needle on the guage was jumping about a little and then it settled. that normal?

if it was me id start with the regulator and get a new diapragm ?8ish from FSE. or if you want to splash out (about ?40) a complete new one.

"right,im thinking its the fuel pump,or regulator.

allthough if you connected the guage with a t-piece so you can check it with engine running this should'nt be an issue!! I assume you took fuel hose off carb and put it directly on guage like i did? -MINI CLUBMAN 1380 TURBO- |

it probably will tell you that its loosing some pressure. its worth a shot anyway since its free |

it doesnt missfire,just splurts abit and vibrates through the pedal.

highest fuel drain will be in top with your foot down. mine used to be fine hard in 1st, then 2nd and then cut out about 5k hard in 3rd. luckily i managed to figure it out as leanout with your foot down hard can do some damage very quickly! |
