i assume im the only person who uses a good quality instant gasket (basically thick silicone that doesnt smell of vinegar) on turbo-manifold-head joins? works for me but the surfaces do need to be nice and flat, had the same issue with the gaskets as fire-ringed gaskets wernt avaliable when i first started messing about with turbo k's.

turbo 16v k-series 11.9@118.9 :)

I am thinking of looking for some where that makes top end gaskets and getting a load made up.

If Dennis and Robert can get away with silicone why spend money elsewhere ?

I had forgotten that Robert told me this last year but I wont be buying any more manifold gaskets now.

Good news!!
well I got the gasket and put the fire gum on let it go off a bit, then I did all the nuts 1/2 a turn at a time and then I started it up to get up to temp and then just nipped them all back up again. So when I give it the revs it was fine Tiptop *happy* .

Thanks lads for your help.
