Did similar after fitting a fuel pump in my non injection tank then tuning the acceleration enrichments in a deserted carpark ,luckily I was walking distance to my work and one of the lads on the nightshirt gave me a jerry can and a lift to a petrol station lol chuffed it was an easy fix!

Have also done this just last week. Met a nice bloke and his lad that gave me a lift to petrol station. After checking spark and everything else! I have got the fuel gauge working now but stories like these make me wonder if I should carry a can anyway but I really don't want to. Or a spare.

My gauge was dead until recently, I always carried a spare, once fixed I took it out..., maybe I'll put it back in....

Ill always carry a 5l spare with me. Worst part is when you run out so walk to the petrol station, then walk back, top up the tank and drive off. Then do the same thing the next day cos you forgot to fill it up again.

In boost we trust
