there wasn't much that could keep up with my last engine to 70 - its the only car i have driven where the satnav even struggled to keep up.

Always enjoyed out dragging a Freelander with a merc sprinter van with a trailer and mini on the back, was quite funny.

In fact beating anything with a van is always fun.

I don't now, it was on my old engine. But it was on the 1/4 mile with the Cooper S's and between 50 to 90 ish on the motorway with the Boxster S (first gen, not the new ones).

Nothing amazing with my stage 3 engine thought it suprised all my mates when I fitted the head, before I was struggling to keep up with them then once fitted the table turned. I struggle to beat vans with my 850, hopefully things will change with my new engine

Wow I have grown up a lot since 2005 I apologise for my posts!!

Anyway since then it has been a standard turbo engine for 4 years and beat many many cars. Couple that I can think of is mondeo st24
I raced a 306 td once and he made me pull over after I completely left him because he was sat on my bumper for ages. He could not believe it he was absolutely amazed. He had a FMIC and was chipped. Lol
I havent beat an impreza yet but I am not far off some of them and they ALWAYS have something to say when I catch up!
also a skoda octavia VRS I beat him a but I am sure it was the diesel 150bhp one.

More power this year *smiley*

Small beer by comparison with some of the above, but some on here might remember me beating a T5 with the A35 at Avon last year

It's amazing what some a-series engnes can do really, when a mini with a engine coversion beats another car, it doesn't amaze me, it's good and funny etc but when a mini with a a-series engine beats tuned modern day cars, it's brillaint.

I also beat a scooter, wasn't really proud of it but he come at side of me and asked me what I had under the bonnet lmao. He then said what's your top speed, I said "130 mate" then floored it lol, should of seen his face,(well just his eyes) it could only do no more than 105 on the flat *tongue*

Over the last few days... only my meat...

However, the main thing I want to do once I've got my turbo engine is piss off sales reps.
You know the type, jacket hanging in the back of their company car sitting in the outside lane of which ever motorway they happen to be on.
Whenever I try to overtake them now with my 998 they get penis envy and speed off but once the turbo is done I'll pull up along side them, pretending to struggle and as soon as they go to boot it... bam! Pedal to the floor and a look of shock on their faces. I'm such a child.

My father used to be a sales rep in fact. He had a Honda Accord, jacket hanging in the back and sitting in the outside lane of whichever motorway he happened to be on.

The first day I had mine I did a 1.8 cav rather poor, then did a few mods and done a mk2 golf gti, shortly after the head gasket went....

Would be nice to get some decent power soon.

If in doubt... flat out! The words of a true legend

Of course there was the incident when the actuator line split and I did not realise, when I outdragged a BMW 325 all the way to over 70,from a standing start at lights.
