there wasn't much that could keep up with my last engine to 70 - its the only car i have driven where the satnav even struggled to keep up. |

Always enjoyed out dragging a Freelander with a merc sprinter van with a trailer and mini on the back, was quite funny.

Nothing amazing with my stage 3 engine thought it suprised all my mates when I fitted the head, before I was struggling to keep up with them then once fitted the table turned. I struggle to beat vans with my 850, hopefully things will change with my new engine |

It's amazing what some a-series engnes can do really, when a mini with a engine coversion beats another car, it doesn't amaze me, it's good and funny etc but when a mini with a a-series engine beats tuned modern day cars, it's brillaint.

The first day I had mine I did a 1.8 cav rather poor, then did a few mods and done a mk2 golf gti, shortly after the head gasket went....

My fav in my old 1275 was on the twisty a civic jordan on the way to newbry was keeping up with him really well got to a few more twisty bits and i was gone loved that shed, i had a good one with a merc c-class amg in france in my dads 335 was neck and neck untill fourth then started pulling away. The week before he took me out and did a e46 m3 by a whisker Drives

i found the '07plate swift 1.3l a perfect match for an all standard mg engined clubby standing start 15-20 pulls side by side all the way upto 70-odd

Of course there was the incident when the actuator line split and I did not realise, when I outdragged a BMW 325 all the way to over 70,from a standing start at lights. |
