I did notce the off center thing but all I can put it down to is the barring might not be pushed home or flush like Joe said
The barring and carrier / plunger are new so when the pore plate thingo wears out I'll take a good look At it and sort it then I don't really want to go throw the excersise of doing it now

going back to my hijack..
the off center worn section and pulsating peddle was the affects of a bent and cracked crank! cracked at the flywheel main

i take it your all sorted now?
