Looking back i really wish id used other sources and people as it would have been done last year to a better quality for less money.

Yes trying to find a solution now, me and the old man have made a portfolio of evidence for when we have to take it tht route. I need the money back to build it really as im redundant in 2 weeks so ill be moneyless if i cant find a job quicktime.

When it turned over 1/4 turn and you couldn't turn it anymore, did it just get very tight or feel as though it hit something? Do you have a cam in it?

Yes got the cam in, didnt feel as it hit anything jusy got extra tight.

4k is a lot for a short engine, benross will build you a full engine, head, sc box clutch cam etc etc. For less.

4k is alot but it was for alot more than is here hes just refusing to give me any of my other bits ive payed for (which i have reciepts and proof for paying) but hes claiming he hasnt got any records of me paying do wont let me have anything ive payed for. Ive got 3 vat rceipts from him and a sales invoice with further payments but he said it isnt evidene that ive payed ?!?! Work that out.

Its possible the caps have been mixed or put on the wrong way around when being chucked together. If you like I can have a word with Brett to see if he can inspect it to see if its otherwise ok

Err can do is brett local, im not sure wether i should take it apart or leave it as is or else if it is wrong i might get thr blame rather that them. Do the rods look peened to any of you coz hes charged me 90 qui for that and i cant tell wether they are?

Brett's in Hampshire so not very local but if you can get it down to Wiltshire I'm going down to collect my engine this month.

Alternatively ask a local engine rebuilder to inspect it.

Ill have to look around and see whos close, ive already got someone lined up off here to build take 2 up but its too far for getting this checked there, ive rang one big company to see wether they would look they just gave me some advice but said they cant get involed with soneone elses engine which is fair enough.

I wouldn't want to get involved. Does that make me dodgy? No, it makes me busy.. or perhaps I don't want the hassle.. or perhaps it's as I'm not in possession of the full facts and only getting one side of the story and think it might end up being a real pain in the ass.

If the situation is as described then I feel sorry for the guy out of pocket, but it is no reason to assume that any company that just doesn't want anything to do with it is dodgy.

You need to start court proceedings asap IF what you have said is true, also name and shame stops others getting ripped off

Wolfie, I think Rick is going to get things resolved one way or another before stating the name. For the record it is who you probably think it is, enough said.

I remember "the-stroker" on TMF got a full engineering report on a engine smart performance built for him after he had problems, and then took him to court.

As tom said as soon as ive resolved this ill name and shame. Ill email the stroker if he had that done. And wolfie getting letter drafted up for court proceedings a we speek along with evidence etc.

Its mra minis, cant not say it coz its starting to really piss me off how someone can so blatently do something like this with money ive worked hard for, especially as ill be redundant in about a week so the project will come to a complete stop cheers to them.
