Colouration of the entire plug from octane booster type additives and the red/pink colouration of just the porcelain tip are not the same thing.

Octane booster type products usually colour the entire chamber/piston/turbo/everything with light deposits.

The red colouration I assume this guy is talking about is actually embedded into the porcelain. Not a thick deposit on top.
