This is utter bullshit. If you run 4,5s at the front and 6s at the rear, the car WILL understeer. If your car doesn't something else is completely wrong/right in your suspensopn department.
Which tyres were you using? If using 165s I don't believe you for one split second.

All I'd say is that using a 3,5" outer section at the front and 3" inner is not comfortable. With A032Rs or A008s I'd go 6" wide every time.

My old mini ran 4.5" at the front and 6" on the rear, as the rears were stretched it gave a less grip i found so the more tail happy began, with 4.5's all arround i found i got more understeer, i was basing this for the force wheels either way this is what i have and will use plus i like the look of the wider rears on it. Im not to bothered about loads of torque steer i will end up using eps on it most likley and will have another wheel and tyre setup for drag anyways

This makes no sense to me. Widening the rear track will offer more rear grip and a more stabe rear end, the opposite of what you like?

I can see no reason to run different sized rims front to rear on a mini that is ti be used on tarmac. I run 5mm spaces on the rear which works for me as it balances it up nicely. The rear toe setting is a another way to alter the balance of the car, or if you have them, tweeking the ARB(s). But choosing different rim widths seems odd.

If it helps my force wheels are 10x6 front and 10x6.5 rear, but this suits my driving style i quite like tail a happy setup.

10x7 looks cool as fook though *wink*

Mine gets in the way a bit, but only when it is up. If it is down it does not cause a problem.

Migs Run 7" with a 3.5 Inner and 3.5 outer.

Not recommend for the road tho gives a lot of Torque steer IMO on any motor with a bit of go in it.

My favorite was A set of Carl's wheels I had which I changed to have 3.5 inner and 2.5 outer gave the car a nice balanced feel as well as reducing torque steer and I put the same on the Back*oh well*favorite
