Don't try and thin it out too much. Load the brush and keep it loaded, and apply it in a single stroke slowley. It might look like its too thick, but when it dries off fully, it shrinks a good deal!

Hey there buddi,

I tried to keep the bead as thick as possible in the areas that I am trying to get the seal, the thin excess is just where I was pulling the sealer into the gaps etc.....

Am I right in thinking I cant recoat over seam sealer with another Seam Seal coat ?

I certainly won't be using fingerless gloves again next time haha......

Oh that's cool I can recoat it if need be, I'll get th Heater on it tomorrow and will wait the week before I Do anything else on underside sealing/paint wise.

P.s. no wonder it took you 6 tins of the stuff, it's a bloody tricky thing to get a neat finish on.

You could allways get some masking tape and tape maybe an inch or so strip out across the welds/seams then brush the sealer on then pull the tape off and he presto a nice neat brushed seam.

I use the tube type and spread it with my thumb, the finish never looks amazing but its always better once the paint goes over the top.
