thankyou!

Very happy with the performance and the fuel economy too, its awsome on fuel, although i havent been driving it hard on boost i bet it wil be thirsty.

Last night i took it over 70 (empty by pass late night on way to skipton) and oh my god the power up there is amazing. it pulls alot more when at high speeds than low speeds.

Feebs - aren't the 'turbo' engines supposed to have black cam covers? Is this a converted nat-asp lump?

nothing is different apart from the turbos have forged pistons as far as i am aware.

Keep an eye out for a purple nova at pod you will all be nery suprised. Not saying too much cuz I did part of the convertion to a 2L turbo. This year it had a little upgrade just waiting to see the result

The reg is WIL something or other cant remember the full reg featured in loaded few months back

errrrr, This purple nova was the one at Avon Park last year?
He ran a 13.6 on 'intermediate' slicks...

Some fella (who i'm sure you'll know) called Rich (resided on miniclassic when he wasn't banned) used to always say it was he who did the engine conversion... In fact, he used to almost make out it was his car!!! LOL!

you know him then lol

He did have a fair hand in the conversion I have got to admit. It was done in his garage. I did all the seam welding and making the engine mounts and half the 16v conversion.

He then dropped in the turbo lump once my mate could afford it.

But yeah thats the one.

Thats the day at avon he was having problems trying to run NOS.

The pistons started to melt basically hence it have now been rebuilt with JE pistons and rebore etc.

The bloke that owns it is my mate Will he is a nice bloke.
