Plenty of people substitute 1/2 for 13mm as and when. And 11mm is pretty much identical to 7/16. So it fits perfectly. I have never ever had a problem with it. The reason i say 11mm, is because nobody sells flexi ratchet spanners that i know to in AF.

Close but not exactly the same. You will end up damaging the heads on your bolts...

1/4 Mile 14.3secs 96Mph Terminal 10psi of boost.

Amateurs... just stuff an M8 bolt in then your metric spanners will fit a treat.

Metrinch sockets/spanners come in very handy! *happy*

As Ben says, metric should be fine on most bolts as they shouldn't be all that tight (especially wok bolts!). Anything tight or expensive to replace use imperial. I have far more metric stuff than imperial so I genrally find the metric version first, out of laziness its generally what I use.

If you 13mm doesn't fit on a 1/2" there is something wrong with you 13m, IMO.

i have a set of snap on flank drive imperial offset ratchet spanners, and set of snap on flank drive metric, and the 1/2 will not fit on a 13mm. vice cersa
tolerance in cheap tools causes damage, iv never had a problem with snap on tools. get the right kit and you can do the job twice as fast.
also, i use braided hoses on the servo wez so that just plonks onto the os wheel.

snap on flank drive this is... fits but iant perfect
at the end of the day if its metric use metric spanners and vice versa. keeps you out of the shit if you round something.

Does the spring plate need replacing or could I just fit a turbo plate and a new release bearing?

I good nick how? if the clamping face isn't fooked? Basically I'm trying to ask how common is it for the spring plate to weaken?

Just in general mate, I'd personally stick it back in, I don't think it's a common thing to change unless the clutch starts to slip under power.

The clutch in at the mo is sliping, it's ok when I'm on my own but add a passenger and a couple of bags of shopping and it slips really bad.

What was the clutch plate like before?
Might just be worth changing for piece of mind though.

Check the hydraulics, especially the rubber hose, may have swelled up inside stopping the fluid returning properly.
Or a dodgy slave cylinder, might not be fully depressing the clutch, which has glazed the friction plate over, causing it to slip like a bitch. Had that with my preverto!

7/16 = 11.1125mm so will usally fit
1/2 = 12.7mm so may be lose if you have baggy spanners. Probably best not the use on tight or rusty heads.
9/16 = 14.2875 so might fit a 14mm
5/8 = 15.875 so again a little lose on a 16mm
11/16 = 17.4625mm so a 17mm on a rusty head would be a advantage.

So to be so anal but I was bored
