Been doing some more research into this. Looks like their are good and bad point with the heaters on sale.

1. Oil filled rads, Dont heat up much and cost the earth to run.
2. Halogen / IR ones only heat whats infront of them and cost alot to run.
3. Gas (including space heaters) Not too bad to buy for a small one, heat up the area well but cause alot of condensation which means running a dehumidifier which is more expense.
4. Waste oil heaters, expensive and need council permission
5. Multi fuel stoves, good heat, but ideally req a professional instalation for insurance purposes.
6. Now this one ive just thought of.

A diesel / electric cab heater. We run these in our social busses at work and produce a great amount of heat. Run on 12 or 24v use a minimal amount of diesel and not too difficult to install in a custom environment. But they are bloody expensive.

Im all down for wrapping up but then it makes working on things a chore rather than being an enjoyment.
