Is it A-Series only? I think it should be... So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'... On 26th Oct, 2004 Tom Fenton said:

I had a five speed box on my old engine, and I fitted a centering spring from mini spares, and it made getting the gears a lot better, before I fitted this spring the gears where a sod to get, a real pain in the ass, the reason I mention all this is because mini spares say it improves the drive on four speed boxes too, I’ve not yet tried it with my turbo build, as you all know I’ve not finished It yet, and with this engine got a four speed box fitted with the spring, will let you know when I’ve tried It.. I'm confused as to what this grinder to the selector forks buisness is! I'm all for tiny little improvments here and there! On 26th Jan, 2012 Tom Fenton said:

Look at a standard selector rod compared to Colins pic. The lug is tapered, cant make out if the forks are different though I seriously doubt it! |
