Just had another look it says BSP female fitting with a 3/8" to 3/8" male to male adaptor, ditch the male to male adapter get a 3/8bsp to 1/8 male to male adapter

It's not that straight forward. The sensor is bigger than 1/8 BSP and sticks a long way out of the adaptor. I'll get you a picture in a bit

Right got you, so ill need to drill out the sandwich plate so the sensor will fit through, may aswell drill and tap then, are yours mechanical?

I may just make a whole new dash to encorperate 4gauges instead of 3 then use a different brand with normal fittings.

I spent a fair bit of time deciding on what guages to use; I ended up going with Stack boost and oil pressure and a SH AEM set up; modified a couple of AEM bezels to try and get them all looking similar in the dash

the tapping drill is 15.2mm, how thick is your sandwich plate? mmm sandwich

we could do that. It would go in the speedo housing easily enough.

Saves all the fucking about and the box is off anyway, let you know when im ready to get the gauges, won't be just yet anyway, got an engine build to fund lol

EDIT: we could tap them anytime, just block them up until I'm ready.

yep.

BTW, the oil pressure is by hose into the back of the gauge.

Pop over some time, you can have a look at my gauges and we can sort you out the tapings if they are what you are after.

Have you got a thermostat sandwich plate spare?

Can't you get adapters for fitting the senders into the sump plug?

drilling out to 15mm wouldn't leave much sump plug behind

and no magnet....

Or you could mount the oil temp sender where the oil pickup pipe is.

You could make a thicker blanking plate, or tube with mounting lugs that bolts to the outside of the box and mount it in there. :)

I think it would be too long for there Matty and probably obstruct the flow of oil into the engine as it's quite thick..

Puta boss on it to spacer it out like the magnetic traps you can buy.

my main point was that it would fill the pipe supplying oil to the engine! Oil starvation is generally not good. Ask Sprocket...

Hence a boss of suitable length to spacer it out so it doesn't obstruct. However other places may be easier.

it would be in the way of the exhaust. it has a big long thick cable attached to it.

I think the Speedo housing would be the best way, just drill tap and go, no messing about with spacers etc.

Mini sport does a sump plug adapter with magnet for 15quid that's how I've done mine

This is the reason i removed mine from there, not because it caused a problem more that if it did cause a problem it would already be too late
i liked johns idea so made a 10mm thick spacer but deemed it still to risky
