please google it.

seen many like that and its getting worse now the ZDDP levels are nearly non existent

matty; yes it seems to have deformed and it had a center strap. was you thinking flex?

Mearure the centre main all torqued up and check if it is still round.

Use a bore guage of the appropriate size. You can get cheap ones off ebay that do a good enough job for what we would use them for. if you don't hav one or don't want to buy one, take the block to some one who has.

Measure the roundness of the center main bearing housing, with the center main cap and strap torqued down.

When I suffered center main failure (all be it consideracly worse than this one) the bearing housing had deformed considerably and needed all the main bearings line bored and honed.

TBH the bearings in the picture don't look that bad.
