at the end of the day, the only thing going for this show was the organised classes and even then, that raise a fair amount of debate through the years.

Like has been said no harm in organising our own rwyb day. Maybe they have realised they can't compete with MITP as a show?

Maybe they could if they actually put some effort in. The turn out has been bigger every year I've been. On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:

I agree with Rob here, I can remember going to the showdown in about 1998, the place was FULL and I mean FULL, all the fields jam packed, these days you get a few tents around the edges etc but plenty of free space.

Not really Andy, there was no more promotion than now, however MITP has grown massively and basically stolen the thunder from the Showdown.

Sod the BMC I vote for a TM organised weekend wherever it may be. RR session, camping, drinking, drag racing, breaking cars and generally causing mayhem!
If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of. |

I agree with john. Theres only a handfull of people of people that want paying from the bmc ...FUCK THEM.. Surely theres some lads on here with contacts etc that have the know how and could get this going..

Tbh I think we killed the showdown to a certain degree - its always the same old winners so nobody bothers anymore as they cannot compete I seriously doubt it! |

we should just head down to a july rwyb weekend, a few of us went back after avon was washed out this year and had a decent day at it.

I first went to showdown in 2006 and it was much busier than it has been the last couple 1/4 Mile 14.3secs 96Mph Terminal 10psi of boost.
