Will_H , thanks for the advice, i am currently using 3in1 as dash pot oil, as suggested by my local motorfactors. Ive already checked that the gasket is the right way round and even replaced pretty much all the gaskets on the op end (except head gasket). Is the part throttle lean off pipe the one that runs from the front of the carb on the top to the top fitting on the right hand side as you look at the carb? If so that is fitted and been double checked for leaks.

Theoneeyedlizard, that pipe goes to the actuator on the turbo, The 2 clear pipes that are tee'd off went to an in car bleed valve but that has been removed. The dump valave has been un-plumbed and the hose to the actuator now runs into the top of the inlet manifold.

Evoderby, its got new fuel in the tank, I'll check the crank pulley position as well.

Tom Fenton, I will give your test a try, What harm can it do? Ive had to go away with work for a couple weeks so when i get home i will post again and let you all know how i get on.

Thankyou all for your help, I will be sure to make a donation to the TM fund. Cheers!

Try some proper SU oil in the dashpot, or some 20/50.

It shouldnt matter, but Plumb the actuator directly into the compressor housing.

Block the part throttle lean off pipe at both ends and try that out.

In the 13's at last!.. Just
