So its a case of using multiple injectors as close to the inlet as possible?

looks interesting anyway for sure. something to keep a close eye on. Im going to get an emerald ecu as soon as i can anyway and use it for ignition only at the moment then i can always upgrade it for injection should i feel like it.

Didn't I send you any later ones than that Jim - with just two injectors and tapered runners?

LOL!

Yeah, that's all it is! Nothing more to it at all.

Believe me, that hardware is the easiest bit of the instalation!!!

Not even sure that emerald would be interested in developing that further - they've at last got good results from what they've done already.

That set up is the exact same set up i have been looking into doing on mine but instead of emerald I was looking into using the megasquirt ECU using 2 injectors firing every 180degs. Apparently some bike throttle bodies have 2injectors. Think someone said duccati had 2 injectors per body.

Just a thought for anyone else looking to go this route.

Somewhere around Swindon

ducati throttle bodies are like 48mm far far to big

try looking at the jenvey site a single 40-42mm body with twin injectors is fairly reasonable if you are buying just one

Never realized they were so big just what I had heard. Something I was gonna look into just a lack of time.

As you say wolfie a single jenvey is fairly reasonable

Listen guys, re having a casting made, what if we had a round of names to see who wants one? If the numbers work, everyone throws in a deposit and we get them made!

I'll put my name in!

I donated, but somehow didn't get the label! :(

Yeah I will put my name in and if the price is right I will have one but its gonna ahve to be in the ball park figure of the jenvey to make it worth while really

if you go for the megasquirt, you are still going to need to throttle bodies, injectors and map sensor. You are paying more for the ecu, but you get the support from dave walker, which I think is worth every penny.

1100 is not bad money considering the meltdowns you avoid, and the fine-tuning of the torque curve to avoid the gearbox trouble...

I have been told that the 7-port has a number of problems. What about bonnet clearance to get the air from the turbo into the inlets? Either over the rocker cover, and you'll need one hell of a bonnet bulge, or over the clutch, which will make changing the clutch a nightmare...
The 7-port is at least 1000 quid anyway... and you're still without enjection setup.
So, if we had to do an injection setup, make it work properly, then have the group of us give it a good testing (in Malta I can do the testing for hot temperatures) Then the guys who developed it can market it real and proper...

I donated, but somehow didn't get the label! :(

Got to agree with Jim 1071's,it alright buying the megasquirt system, and I'm sure it's very good, something I would have considered myself before buying the Emerald system,I'm sure it's quite easy to get the engine up and running but getting it running really well is bloody difficult. You could spend days on the rollers getting it running right at £50 -£100 per hr.Having somebody like Dave Walker on your side is priceless.
I think there is a fixed price for mapping with the Emerald system.
Looking at your shopping list on your posting though,Fuel rails are 10 a penny in scrap yards,as are DIS coils and injectors, you can use any cranksensor you like, mine is from a 1100cc Fester as is the coil, cost £5,they rarely go wrong so there is little demand for them. Why do you need 2 x Jenvey bodies?
The other thing is about the Emerald system is,that if you kill the car or get pi--ed off you can sell it for nearlly as much as you paid for it.
Graham.
