True, but the regulator would only limit pressure....so as the pump will never cause too much, then it is basically just being used as a filter really.

But of course it only takes a minute or two to try it without.

But again....are the plugs getting drowned, or are they dry ?

Of course, timing could be out too. Too far retarded could cause poor starting.

speed didn't kill me, but taxation probably will

I will need to give all these things a try, first without the fuel reg, then check the plugs and finally timing again.

Hopefully will sort it out, will be doing some work tommorow
