do you have a plot that goes from about 2krpm up to red line in second then a long boost in 4th
that one seems to start at 5psi

now this is just a guess because i cant make out much from that graph but it does look like potentially the needle is just too lean on boost and the main fuel is coming from the thick dashpot oil once the needle catches up its causing a lean out

when does the misfire happen? i read from your post its mostly in top gear and on sustained boost runs?

Yes i moved to the darkside *happy*

actually where is the boost signal taken from it doest seem to be from the manifold i would expect the boost to vanish completely after a pull and yours seems to linger on

AFR sounds good, If you still have missfire with sustained. Boost, employ the T peice trick to the Carb if you haven't, failing that, I would be looking at the guides nipping. Up momentarily under load if you have manganise guides?

I always thought the vacuum/boost take off needed to be after the butterfly? Do you have the megajolt connected to the same one on the plenum?

No im running a dizzy but I can put tee piece it it to the dv vacum on the manifold, but saying that the boost gauge would fill with fuel? Wouldnt it like the dump valves do every Now and then

The manifold pressure needs to be taken from the manifold. Ie after the butterfly on the carb.

In the 13's at last!.. Just

Do you think tee piecing it in to the start of the dump valve take of will cause fuel to get to the gauge?

From what little I know that 2nd gear run doesnt look so bad, but I don't know whats up with the 4th gear run, it doesn't look right and seems leaner

too lean you need to sort the AFR out on higher boost levels, its not been done right on th RR.........

it need sorting pronto or it will end in tears

i think your needle profile is out, yes it is too lean on boost its around 15afr on boost, this is not good, but when you bleed it up to higher boost notice the fueling richens up but in general leans out the longer your on boost

i would be trying again with thiner dashpot oil
( all my profiling of the needle was done with no dashpot oil) and then tweaked up on with oil ( it adds alot of fuel on acceleration and gently leans out as the needle catches up) yours seems to be doing this but the base fueling from the needle is too lean to begin with
if you dont mind spending £7 get your self a BDA needle, this is a very good needle for a slow spooling turbo and high ish boost

Brett ill order a needle and have a play at the minute its got 20w50 in the dash-pot, ive got 10w40 at work i can try tomorrow and ill re post with a graph :), benross it was done at a friends dads race preparation workshop but they don't really have time for this sort of thing so he said he would get it as close to it as he could with what needles i had he didnt even charge for it, so now i have a afr gauge i can monitor it for going a bit further to vmax as thats the next closest rr thanks charlie
