It would be an absolute shame to rebore a perfectly good 1293 to 1330 just to piston match. |

Like Paul R confirmed for me the only thing I would look at changing to get the best out of what you have is the cam. You can get good figures with what you have. I would take a good hard look at fitting some under Crown oil jets to help extend your motors life. You can alter your compression radio via the head gasket. You also have to remember historically the big power producing minis on here have all been turbocharged.

If I was to go turbo what would be the best turbo to use and what sort of price would I be looking at to convert to turbo as I don't want to chop the car about. I only have the charger so need all brackets etc anyway. Cam is actually a 276 not 266 Edited by Clive1330 on 22nd Jul, 2013. |

I do have another block I could bore to my pistons if I find them. What would the 1293 be worth though has also been drilled for 11 stud head |
