Bollocks!
a man down the pub told me differently!
he did just so happen to have a couple of metres of 8mm fuel line too
very handy *happy*

ha ha, ran the standard 3/16" feed on the metro van with a 6mm return. no issues there with lots and lots of boost.

i had problems with fuel lines splitting at 3bar
probably crap hoses, not cheap mind

Thanks for the help. I'll scout around for a mpi pump at mitp. Problem is people will want to sell the pump and tank together.

My saab is the later type Joe, but thanks for the help!

When talking about fuel line sizes, the general rule is that 'tube' is measured by its OD while 'hose' is measured by its ID.

Therefore when talking about an 8mm ridgid fuel line of 6or 8mm it is 6 or 8mm OD

The standard SPi or MPi fuel lines work fine with 150hp on my car with a Walbro 255 pump in the tank which is pushing a far greater volume of fuel than I will ever ever need.
