Neil, before you go out and spend cash, get your suspesion setup, and corner weights done. on the road my car is a bit wild, but this is only down to the LSD, on the drag strip I did not have any torque steer, I could have held the steering wheel with too fingers.

Green thing with 13"s??? Isn't that the Ford car? That isn't a Mini anymore!

I did buy some MB wheels once. Nice wheels Bloody tosser manufacturer. Nothing wrong with the manufacture, but the customer support and care. If you read this Mike Barnby, I hope you've sorted your customer care!

I put MB's contact details in a thread a while ago, not got them to hand at the moment. However look at the motorsport directory on www.autosport.com. He can be a bit slow at times but he is usually well busy as not many people do spinnings in the sizes he does.

As well as making sure you have an ok basic setup on the car (camber, castor , etc) , the same on both sides of your car. Have a think on the ride height you are running and the effect this has on the angle of your drive shafts. You really want to get this as flat as you can. This is all to do with the different length (and so different angles) of drive shaft used and the resistance of the CV joints. Jack night do the extension for the gearbox so that you use two short shafts. I'd think about using the Tripode joint setup available from Mike Barratt as these joints are way better when misaligned than CV's

As for wheel/tyre size. Larger wheel and tyre will give bigger footprint on the road, but are heavier and will produce greater rolling resistance. Smaler wheel/tyre will give the opposite effect. However when you throw in what tyres you can get in a particular size it makes this a difficult call, as a really good tyre i a particular size would scew the decision.

No you cant get road legal slicks, Legal minimum is that tread should account for 17% of tyre tread surface. Advan (Yoko) 038 and 048 are 17% tread.
