A048 is a wet track tyre..., I used them in all condition with my old mini before I sold it, it didn't see the snow but found them better in ths wet than the 539's. Each to their own I think, also how about ths toyo road sport tyres 185/55r13 used by the metro bunch, ment to be good, also a dunlop track tyre in that size Sorry paul but the A048 is not a wet tyre !!! rick Rick, what size are we talking , 175 50 13's It's more like an intermediate On 26th Oct, 2004 TurboDave16v said:
Is it A-Series only? I think it should be... So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'... On 26th Oct, 2004 Tom Fenton said:

My thought process... Buy some soft 48's bung them on the rear, wear down my other pair of 539's on the front and then get some meduim compounds for the front when they 539's wear out which should be fairly quickly if i dont get the new gearbox soon... On 17th Feb, 2011 apbellamy said:

They are available in medium or soft compound. As others have said though, don't expect many miles out of them, I got around 3k out of the fronts but most of that was hard driving on the road. Unfortunately not. In 12" only M is available. That's why I use the 10" A032r in thw wet on my race car. They are S only. The 165/55-12 is also 1/2" wider than the A032rs. Mine gets in the way a bit, but only when it is up. If it is down it does not cause a problem. |
