a lot of the dailys had other turbos, only the 125hp ones seemed to feature this turbo. On 7th Oct, 2010 5haneJ said:

Gt17 = Girly Gt20 = Manly Supercharger = Gay that told andy ![]() this is a cracking turbo on the mini, and will deliver 30psi boost with ease, but one thing i will say for those wishing to push this turbo to 250bhp or past 7k is watch out for that choke line ![]() i believe i found it on the 5 port, the turbo will flow 30lb/min at 1 bar and support approx 300 crank bhp (but this is at 1 bar) and the A series will need more than 1 bar for that power so if we raise the pressure ratio we find more boost but less flow, the boost will help make the power but the reduction in flow will limit the max power ( the other way around you might be able to rev it out to 9k but i suspect you would see the boost tailing off) obviously there is the problem with the tiny wastegate, mine had a 23/24mm wastegate penny iirc and i managed to port the wastegate out to 21x22 ish mm and that was enough for me ( manifold and downpipe will have alot of influence with this ) i would recommend an external wastegate if your going for a K head with lots of revs....personally i will never run with an internally gated turbo again, i have this exact same problem on the skyline :( but that is a gt30 frame turbo squeezed into recast but essentially a stock sized exhaust housing Yes i moved to the darkside |

brett , I think you might find that flow actually increases after 15 psi ? Medusa + injection = too much torque for the dyno ..https://youtu.be/qg5o0_tJxYM |

brett , I think you might find that flow actually increases after 15 psi ? at what rpm? I think I might have missunderstood you ,, I thought you were saying at anything above 15 psi boost(or 2 bar as its shown on the map)the turbo flowed less than at 15 psi , eg the choke line was leaning to the left from 15 psi upwards . looking at this map , it appears to flow a few pounds more as you hgo towards 2.5 bar ,and then back to the same flow as 15 psi arouns 3 bar 30 psi approx. bear in mind this may be a different wheel to the one your looking at ? ![]() Medusa + injection = too much torque for the dyno ..https://youtu.be/qg5o0_tJxYM |

I did not realise they had done a more detailed compressor map than the one I got a featyears back, ill try and dig it out , on mine the choke line is probably around the 170k rpm line on yours

According to my simulations, the Garrett hp limit for the 2056 of 260hp is spot on.
