It's not been freshly rebuilt it has been sat for 10 year which maybe part of the problem

Hypothetically speaking, where would you stick your nozzle?

I'll give all these a try thank you for the help, I'm guessing its advisable to not stand infront of the flywheel when it eventually comes off

FINALLY got the flywheel off.

I'll post some pics later but made some new washers greased the bolt, did it up with the compressor powered impact gun - nothing warmed the flywheel up to cherry red and beat shit out tye bolt with sledge hammer - nothing. My dad beat shit out of the bolt with sledgehammer - nothing. Me and the girlfriend held the engine and flywheel in place while my dad used my 4 foot breaker bar with another 4 feet extension bar on it and got another half turn on the bolt - still didn't come off. Just about giving up so got dad to show me where to warm the flywheel with the torch while dad beat shit out of it with sledgehammer and about the 5th smack the flywheel shook. Gave it a light tap and it had popped. Took us about 4 hours in total! That's just from today :)

Thanks for your help guys now to find out what's jamming the engine :)

Bit of heat gone into that. Crank taper looks good though considering.

Yeah! Next step was to cut it off I think we literally were out of ideas and was giving it one last go since we got that extra half turn on it

hope i never have to do that looks nasty..

is the flywheel still straight?

i recommend you lap (just live a valve seat) the wheel onto the crank to match the taper perfectly should all end up the same consistent greyish texture any patches and it binds up

Yeah im going to lap it into the crank and give it a test with a DTI to make sure its still straight.
