Is that the low pressure or lean off ???????

Mine tends to lean off when i am spanking it in 4th but perfect else where.

lean off although oil pressure drops to 20psi at idle when warm and 45-50 on cruise. The running in stuff I've got in it is thin as water so hoping it sorts itself when I put the CTV in

I have the lean off issue too, just at the clutch biting point the mixture goes lean and the engine is weak sauce at this point. A rev and dump of the clutch gets you over this but sounds like your a bit of a learner.

Must be a common issue then mine seams to go very lean on lift off, is this normal? And what's an acceptable figure to see on my afr gauge at idle as I know mines lean

James mine sits between 13-14 at idle.

Rob as per yours mines started to sit at 20 psi when warm and 45-50 cruising BUT i've got CTV in. Going to change the oil filter and pressure sring and plunger and see what happens.

It has also started to not build oil pressure at first for about 5 seconds so expecting the oil pressure plunger to be stuck.

Jay that is exactly what mine does and its driving me mad - as well as making me look a right pillock in traffic.

The strange thing is that it will run at 1100/1200 rpm in top and pull away quite happily as long as the throttle has been kept very slightly off idle, and the mixture flicks to 12/13 as soon as I gun it.

Are we all running the lean off pipe connected ?

I've now received my SU oil and just awaiting some bits from Minispares as oil pressure is low.

my lean-off pipe has been blocked off

Mines connected so will try it both ways and see what the outcome is.....

Lean off blanked off from first start.

My lean off was connected, I blocked it to see but no difference. Mine goes lean enough to go off the scale on the wideband. If I polish the needle to try and get a bit more fuel in that area it gets a bit too rich at idle. I thought it might be caused by an intake manifold leak so was going to investigate that plus play around with dash pot springs and damper oil weights.

Hopefully will get to have a play over the weekend with this issue.

Got some SU oil to try first, then lean off pipe.
