How about anodising rather than paint? you wont have to worry about the paint insulating it then, just the expense David. |

Airtec Paint there intercoolers black and have standard silver ones aswell, but the black ones sell better of what ive seen kicking arond

The moral here seems to be buy the biggest black (or paint it black) inter cooler so that the fin area deals with convection cooling and when you are at a standstill the black colour deals with the infra red radiation.

So I should paint my charger Matt black then.. I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

Moral. Buy the best core you can afford. Not all cores are the same. And best doesnt always mean most expensive. Then paint it whatever colour you fancy, very light coat obviously.
