get some mapped ign on there... your lag will vanish... well drop many hundred rpm!

Dave, I only changed the compressor side of the turbo, thought keeping the exhaust side down it would spin faster. 16V project underway |

i know this is a (very) old post - im building a hopefully high powered a series at the moment - it has some nice trick bits, im looking at obtaining over 150 bhp from this engine + more if i can. i have searched for a few hours tonight on the site but was wondering if anyone could clarify something for me - it seems that the standard metro compressor housing might become restrictive aiming up towards the 200 bhp mark, to swap to the rs .36 a/r spec housing, is it a straight forward swap of the exhaust housing? do the internals of the turbo etc remain intact? hope someone can help, cheers, dan |
