Thought I would give you an update... OIL PRESSURE!!!!!! The guru who builds the race engines at the engine builders agreed with the general consensus that the oil pressure was too high. He has lowed it to 50psi when cold and the smoky exhaust has stopped..... The advance on the distributor has locked up solid and will not move...... So I need to repair or replace.
Thanks
Pete

I was thinking of a CSI electronic distributor from Swift Tune instead of a megajolt system.... What do you guys think??

I think a distributor even with preset electronic curves will always be a compromise at best, but worst of all it won't retard on boost which is what is really needed.
The mega jolt is worth the effort, or if the diy bit scares you pay a lot more for a dta/omex/emerald to achieve the same result.

Can't you buy the Megajolt in a complete kit from Trigger Wheels??

There is also Aldon Amethyst is you are after something a bit easier to install than a megajolt. Probably cheaper too, but it doesn't have all the bells and whistles of megajolt.

Spoken to Aldon today and read the spec...look ok. What's the pros and cons?
Does anyone have one of these fitted?
