a day of trials and tribulations

wahoo the mini made it there and back without any problems! and my holt running problems on the track have vanished since changing temp gauges!!

a great day for me, though im not everyone had as much luck....

I'm back too! I got around 6 sessions on the track, ended up of the grass a few times, got towed off the track once as I had a clutch hydrolic fault. Had one very near miss with the barrier.

Car still in one piece, no damage, still got colling problems and back end grip is a bit of a problem.

Jon flan the man, after losing a wheel, (I leave jon to fill you in with the details) drove my car, it seem to go well untill we ran out of petrol!!

Bad luck to Stuart write, jon flan, and minimark who all broke there cars.

my misus took the hog for a pedestrian session, done the whole laps in 4th just as well it was a turbo and not my old set up otherwise the engine would be have been leeping out of the bonnet coming out of the esses.

she did open it up once flying into quarry doing about 80 which did make me very nevrous to say the least.

i did tell her to at least put into 3rd coming into the esses but took no notice (typical female).

but i did go out on the parade lap which was free and had some good full grunt spirts eventially when i got enough room, but was quiet good seems it was free.

i did see, jimster and giallofly have some good fun and soory to see the damage to the a panal.

but as usal there was some who like going round corners as fast as they can on crap tyres and wondered why they were facing the wrond direction.

and them arsholes in the mighty minis who always overtake in the red areas especilly at the esses. one nealy t boned me a few years ok and i was bloody close to going into the paddock and poking his eyes out.

but the hog went flawlessy all the way there and back, got about 40 to the gallon doing 60 and used buggerall oil and water so a result .

Yep, i agree, reports need. Hope nothing was too serious and it can all be fixed easily

The trick to mighty minis is to turn the boost up and out runt them

Joking aside, it was great last year to pass them on the stright, they really didnt like it lol

i went and im glad i did what a brilliant day. it was me first time on a track and to be honest i was a tad on the nervous side ( for me and the car).
only did two runs during the day, due to the fact it was 30 quid ago!.
1st session i just took it easy and it was good.
2nd session i managed to get behind nic and his mate in the que and we all went out together what a buzz and a laugh. all 3 of us were going hell for leather brilliant fun.
had a couple of scarey moments the scareyist when nics mate spun in front of me and ended up faceing me.
didnt spin but come close, suppose not spinning means i werent going fast enough.
well pleased with me car and the handling. good day.

i rekon jon was very lucky that could have been a major incident and could have been much worse.

no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.

alexf yes you are right might but turning up the boost and my wife behind the wheel would mean a big bent car lol.

but next year IS MY TURN SO WATCH OUT YOU MIGHTY MINI BOYS THE HOG WILL BE EATING YOU FOR BREAKFAST.
