I still dispair every time I pick up a mini magazine.

I buy a mini mag on average once a year, just to keep up with new parts and prices from suppliers. The only other time I will buy it is if someones car of here is featured, e.g. I bought the copies with TurboDaves and TurboPhils cars in.

The rest of it is usually dross.

whats the deal with that blue thing, it must weigh about 17.4 tons, ok its got a 1.8 gti under the bonnet but it took a proper customising company 3 years to build it.
£££££££

All fair comments really. I think that the public probably want ice'd minis with zeemax kits...

wohoooo ill send you some pics of my car then lol

if theres a car in a magazine i like it to have had the interia, exteria and engine bay done. You see some cars in miniworld with a £300 bodykit and £4k worth of ice and thats it.
I no im proberly classed as a boy racer (which im not) to some of you older people whose preferences are not to have any ice and a standard body. But a least ive took (or am taking) the time to fully restore the shell and fit a decent motor under the bonnet.

Should a magazine be made though there should be more tips on things like MOT repairs, finding electrical faults, 'what that funny noise could be', do certain preformance mods work? etc etc

that just my 2 pence worth any way

I must say I agree with most of the comments regarding the Mini mags available. I'll also go out and buy and issue of PPC as I've not read that before.
I would like to see in any mini mag:
original ideas - be they engine, exterior or interior
good technical sections
NO boy racer machines or PNIK ladies minis
Less MK1 replicas - they have their place but I'll never build one.

Mini World these days is full of mad and sad boy racers and MiniMagazine is focusing on all the MK1 and 2 restorations as opposed to new ideas - some of the cars they feature are worse than my mini before I stripped it.
