I don't know how much it weighs but 2 people of avrage size can lift the whole car about a foot of the floor by holding onto the doorbars quite easyly. Cant see it weighing much more than about 400kg. I still have a lot of wight to save yet. blimey have you spent a fortune with our Mr austin? alloy engine? titanium bodyshell?? whats the secret to getting down to 400kg's? although i am sure 2 people could lift mine with the help of 4 trolly jacks lmao Edited by wolfie on 6th Nov, 2005. As I said, only a guess. If it does weigh 400, each person lifted 200kg, more than double their body weight.
Its only a bit of metal. If it blows it blows!

me and a mate struggled to put me engine in once by hand so to have a car that light you can pick up with the engine in to, well done that's a real achievement, people next year have NO chance against you.

Sound deadning is quite heavy, filled 2 tesco bags with the stuff, takes ages to get it off. worth it though. Aso removed rear seat, bins, dash rails, roof rails, boot floor, shelf, front end to name a few. Could drill holes in the subframes, but I dont want tp weaken them. Its only a bit of metal. If it blows it blows!
