Mmmmm 6r4!! nice.

I seem to recall will gollops rally cross 6r4 held the fastest 0-60 for a while something like 3.3 secs? mind you wasn't it a biturbo pumping out 720 bhp?

MFT: I dare say peeps are gettign gears made to original specs - well, I'd start from scratch...

mini13 i remember being very small and watching will gollop in his black red and gold 6r4 racing against martin Shancka (probably spelled it wrong sorry) in his rs200 awesome !!!! Shancka mounted the armaco barrier at croft and went around the corner with his wheels off the ground then dismounted and continued the race !!!! memories burnt in my mind rally x not the same now :( i think i got it on vhs somewhere

Yes i also went to croft as a youngster and saw Gollops 6R4 in action, i remember it being the most insane barrage of the senses i'd ever witnessed. Truly awesome !

I'm glad i'm no longer in the UK, as i may have been tempted to have purchased that 6R4...

That clutch kit looks impressive - if a little pricey! Interesting starter motor location mind...


Probably not a huge use for us torque lovers - that thing'll be running a tiny 4.5 or 5.5" single clutch plate - it'd need a spring equivalent to a something like that of the grey release load to hold the clutch... Fantastic for the miglia guys though!!!

And how about the Pot joint-to-hardy-spicer outputs? About bloody time somone came up with them!!!

For me one of the sounds that will always be in my mind is the howl of a 6R4 making its way through the Welsh forest stages early in the morning.......pure magic.

Personally the sound of a 5-pot Audi screaming through the welch forests does it for me.

There's a couple of Audis who we hillclimb with, and they sound awesome, and are ballistic too.

Yes Wil the Audi's sound great...I am kind of used to that noise though as my dad has had one since I was young.....excellent noise though!
I reckon the 5th cylinder doesn't do any useful power production, the germans just put it there for the noise LOL!
