I didn't make the downpipe myself, I had a local place knock it up for me. It doesn't use the maniflow downpipe at all. It was a compleate system in stainless, there is a slip joint just above the pot joint, takes me around 2 mins to get on and off from this joint, as is always a gas tight seal.

yeah VNT some people say use a external wastegate some say no need so I am gonna give i a try ussing the vanes to vary the power of the turbine t control the boost and see what happens

Its running and sounds nice need to bleed the brakes and clutch and should be able to have a drive and see what happens.


With the vanes wide oped the turbo doesn't appear to make any boost, so as things are it looks promising. With the vane down to the preset min setting turbo boosts up lovely with no load on the engine.


Keep you post over the next week or so. Gone bit off topic lol but I will make a new post once I have driven it a put a link on to this page lol

damn !!! cant figure it out,so no piccys!!ok the old one was 43 odd ,and the new one was 50mm id . it used a 2 piece flange to clamp it to the turbo .regards robert.
