jim had his car at avon 04 with no silencer-i wouldnt of said it was that offensive

maximum boost states the best exhaust for a turbo is no exhaust

he also was running a 0.6 ar ish turbo, i reckon that would make it louder than a 0.25 with a larger appature.

just fitted a motorbike back box, 3" inlet to 2" outlet so much better higher up the range, I don't have any mid silencer and its not too loud.
Ran the car without the rear box and it was louder but not as loud as a N/A car would have been, it seemed to be a tad slower in driving though?

The .63 turbine Jim was using in 04 probably has a smaller turbine exducer than the T3 you're using John

I've nothing more to add to anything discussed here though - I think everyone has the right idea... All i will say is it'll be a REAL squeeze getting a 2.5" OD between pot-joing and subframe - unless you have the injection subby of course!

this is my next issue. as i havnt currently got my engine in my car, its hard to know how bigger diameter i can fit fown back of engine bay, and i know that the larger the diameter pipe, the larger a bend is, so may be hard making a down pipe to fit. the current 2" types available already shrink a tad in diameter on the downpipe bend.
