I only have a very early picture of the car on track.

Quick motorsport supplied the steering bits and I fitted it all myself. I'm based in Stoke.

That is a fantastic mini!

Its also VERY fast.

But not as fast as mines going to be *tongue*

What - in a straight line????
I can't see many (any?) minis off this site beating it round a track...
If you're talking about outright speed - then you'll have to beat Matt Woods who has seriously fast potential....

You got a timeframe in mind - just so we can check back on this? *tongue*

When I'm racing with Dave later this year! *tongue*

Thats was the plan, but I wont be ready...

so looking at spints till mid year then a few races at the back end of the season.

So really looking for the cheapest series to cut my teeth on.

I would like to do MME but theres MANY races and its not cheap racing.

Carl, A lot of the modifications are simply evolutions of what I already have. The car has always worked fairly well but I knew that there were some areas that needed more time spending on them and some areas that needed more money spending on them.

As with any competitive racing car, if you don't push the envelope of what's possible, and legal, then everyone else will beat you before too long. Lots of new parts have been sourced that should increase performance and reliability. But also lots of old parts have been re-worked or re-designed, to make the car handle and behave as I want it to.

Mike Barratt has been working his majic for me with the motor, which should see a decent increase in power and driveability. New suspension geometries along with all new suspension components should help the handling too.

Fingers crossed.

Dave.

Dave,

Are you taking the race car to Bingley Hall next week? Remember it being very popular last year!

The car won't be at Bingley unfortunately. I may try and do Harewood, I've only ever done one event there and agree it is a crackin hillclimb. I believe the quick minis are doing it in about 65 seconds.

I must also agree Carl that the harder you work the luckier you get lol.

Looking good Dave you going back there this year?

I really aren't sure where the car is going to be this year. I will start off by doing some sprints and hills just to make sure that the car is performing as well as I want it to. I will also be testing at various trackdays.

Once I'm happy with the car we'll be heading for something like Extreme Mighty Minis or Classic Thunder Saloons.

At some point I will be at least testing at Curborough, purely to evaluate the new modifications and to compare the lap times to my previous times there.

Dave.
