Yes, my old man uses these bead locks. They like to run quite low pressures to get traction (low 20's psi) but as a consequence sometimes roll tyres off the rim, hence using these bead lock wheels.

I don't think it's the power that moves tyres on the rims. I's grip vs. brakes. The brakes are much more powerful than the acceleration on a Mini. On 13th Jul, 2012 Ben H said:

This is interesting. Next time I do a track day I will also mark the tyres and rims.
