I found if the engine isnt level, when you lower it in the bottom engine steady bolt snags in the bottom of the groove.

Once Id levelled the engine up though, it lowered in nice and gracefully.

I think next time its out, and I would reccomned to others that are going to be using these, to use a bolt with a lower profile head (or grind the existing bolts head down a bit) for the bottom of the 3 engine steady mount bolts.

that way it saves a little drama later on.

Overall though, I think aslong as they hold the engine in place, they are a good bit of kit.

i used to use the quick release efforts, had the problem with the bolt snagging (easily iovercome) and also with the "pin" coroding under our lovely weather. some vaseline helps no end. found them much quicker to release and use than normal bottom mounts.
