well, I'm happy with Boy Racer, but it does sound a little plain...

What are we doing then; three votes and that's it decided?

Last time the turbo was on the road it was ?400ish with HIC and limited mileage. Limited mileage is a good thing, the only problem if you go over is the extra ?400 excess if you claim. I can cope with that if the premium is reduced. It soon pays for its self if you have some claim free years.

wow, that cheap? How many miles can you go a year then ? I thought it was gonna be much expensive than this ! what do you tell the insurance company? To consider it much like an era turbo or what ?
Do you guys know what insurance group a turbo mini falls into ?

my insurance is quite cheap, ?300 all mods declared. as its up for renewal at the moment, phoned adrian flux to see how much they'd put on it for putting the turbo in and its an extra ?30, so with me breakdown etc, its ?420 fully comp and i'm 22 with 4 years no claims. got agreed value aswell.

so it seems adrian flux is the place to go?
This is real handy guys, keep 'em coming! I'm 21 with only 1 years no claims (although will be 2 by the time the mini gets on the road probably, lol) and i may have it insured as a second car.... anyone in similar territory?

yeah mines insured as a second car 5000 miles a year no commuting etc and they offer free valulation. you cant insure it as an era just tell them what it is"a mini with a turbo engine in"
if you have it as second car you cant use your no claims it stays on your first car *frown*

no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.

i cant see how all your insurance quotes are so cheap! I have a peugeot 106 1.0 inj and that is 700 a year..... its only got 63bhp *indifferent* does insurance drop when you reach 22? i thought it was 25...... i really am pleasantly suprised here :)
