He's talking about the hole where the fresh air vent would be. It's been cut out square.

ahh yes forgot about that hole..... would deffo plate that in unless you like being wet ! are you going to gut a section (with the hole for the ducting) and weld it in ? thats all i would perhaps do ?

Think I'm going to plate the fresh air vents on both sides. The dash what's in there doesnt have the holes for them so no point in keeping them to fill the car with water. I also want to make it as easy as possible to remove the front end without having to disconnect to many bits & pieces. If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of. |

yeah good idea, also if you went for full pannel erplacement it would mean a paint job on the outside which would incure cost. I was going to plate it with that ally sheet i gave you then seam seal it, and stone chip it

Yep the idea is to try and make the car weather proof whilst still retaining its looks. If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of. |

I replaced the head lining today. It was a right PITA!

mate tell me about it, the pole had snapped on the rear section and when i saw how bad it was i didnt bother messing with it...twas as brittle as a wankers hankerchief !!!!!
