Yeh bini driver broke a drive shaft and promptly tried to cary on down the strip leaving a trail of oil and grease requiring time out to clean it up.

However, there was a silver mini turbo there who broke a drive shaft clean off at the 'c' clip groove at the CV joint, promtly fixed after a trip to the auto jumble, LOL the jumble comes in usefull at times like those.

Incidently, has anyone on here ever snapped a drive shaft, I havent heard of many.

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

First mini turbo to get in the 12's & site perv

Herefordshire

hello

I managed a 12.95@108 2 mins before thomas fenton ran a 12.94

Im chuffed to bits with that, and was aiming to be the first 12sec car, but with the likes of tom and jims car there i thought i was going to have to settle for being the first 5 port in the 12's

However when jon told me i did think he was taking the piss, and i then found myself shaking as i tried to collect the ticket

hohohoho how cool!!

anyway i just wanted to thank all of you guys here for making it enjoyable, and having good times on the weekends away. If i didnt enjoy it so much it would still be in the 14.1 state of 2005, so your all responsible

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO *tongue*

Well done Nic, as I said to you you deserve if for the effort you put in!

It was good to catch up with some old and some new faces.

Well done to Tom and Carl for there creation, sort the cooling system and I'm sure we can see some low 12's from the 16 valvers.

I got very close to the 12's with a 13.1 @108 but still with a 2.39 60 ft. Still having problems getting off the line, the car felt awesome, it was just me!

Good weekend, and thanks too:
Jon Flan for the party and the bed.

Tim and Mark from Rightline motorsport for pushing me around.

Iain Jubb for bringing a busty blonde bird.

Tom Fenton for fitting large hoops to Lovely Lisa

oh and butterpoppy for the entertainment!

Nice one Nic.

Watching Jon & Jim do 13.5 & 13.4 respectively was pretty impressive.

Feel real sorry poor old Carl though as he managed to break both his Minis.

One thing did confuse me, how come 2 GTI metros were there? Not even 'A' series, so couldn't see connection with minis.

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

Well i didnt get my last run's time but previous to that i ran a 15.0 dead with a 60ft of about 3.5 and 92 over the line! *happy*

Managed 95 over the line with a 16.8 when it decided to jump out of first gear so once i get the driver on form with a bit more practice it will be getting there!

first time i've driven the car so was experimenting a fair bit.

the car is also now sponsered by sheepspeed racing! (cheers for the fuel pump jim!)

Even got interviewed by a mini mag so may have some pics in yet.

all in all the car is getting there, some more development required!

Cheers JF for the bed and bbq. good fun!

and hello to all those people i did and didnt say hello too!

I dont't think anyone yet has mention Darrel's (the shed) misfortune.

His rover 220 turbo powered blow a cooling hose just after passing the line at over 100 MPH. The water maybe got under a slick as he lifted off, the car changed ends and hit the barrier backwards.

It was very close to where we were pitched and there were very tense moments until we saw him emerge from the totally wrecked car.

I dont think he will appreciate pics if anyone has them.(NO PICS)

Scarey stuff, glad you are OK son! *wink*

Yep , good day!

As i was diving up the M1 sunday morn I was pishing down, I even had a brown trowser moment when I hit a bid bit of standing water in the middle lane...*surprised* Was expeting the whole day to be rained of, but no, there was only a few spots luckily.

as already mentioned its a shame the trader stands wern't on the solid behind the stands, especialy as i forgot my spare shoes, still wasnt too bad.

Met Nic and Galiofly breifly,

Compeatly forgot to congratulate Nic on his 12.9 as i was bursting for a piss at the time, Well done Nic!! and Jon was busy extracting the remains of his clutch thrust.....

Saw Tom F and Carl A there too, but they were busy so didn't say Hello. Sorry to say I missed Toms 12.9 or rther I think i saw the run but not the time.

And of course I spoke to Jason for a fair bit. evidently I was the one that looks like Alan Carr....

Good work every one!

Always a pleasure

Thank you to Jon F for the house party which we turned up to - it got us out the mud for a few hours. Also was nice to meet the guy with the ex Miglia.

I now want to build a quick mini again.
